Grandson Turns One

My grandson just turned one and I had a fantastic time on my trip up to see my daughter and her new house. I guess I forgot to drop by my blog and show all of you.  I took tons of photos. Both my daughter's brought their families. I got to see people I haven't seen in years. I want to move back there so bad but my boyfriend will have none of it.
As soon as my daughter gets settled in I'm sure she'll open her photo studio and art gallery again.

Busy Packing For a Trip to Atascadero

I'm going to go see Heather very soon for my grandson's first birthday and her big housewarming party.  I can't wait. In the meantime, I painted her portrait from a photo.

Grandson and Daughter

I got to visit Heather's new art space and they were right in the middle of rearranging it for a Shakespearean play. I got to visit my new grandson too.  Heather is juggling being a mom, an artist, a theater manager, a wife and an entrepreneur. I don't know how she does it all, but I wish her the best of luck.  When I was there she was doing another interview for an upcoming wedding photo shoot. Go Heather.

Heather is Busy

Heather has been super busy lately. Not only is she expecting in early December, and just left the theater on maternity leave, but she's also opening a new photo and art studio in downtown San Luis Obispo, CA. In short, she is living my dream! Brat! Haha.  And hubby just got her a pottery wheel and a kiln for her birthday.

I'd post photos, but Blogger's photo feature is having a tantrum.

More Weddings

I'm so happy that Heather has booked some more weddings. And she got hired on by another wedding photographer to do editing and such. I would say she definitely has her foot in the door.

Weddings

Maybe I should have named this blog Heather Does Weddings. Her wedding photography business is going well. She even booked a wedding on Halloween day at a cemetary.

So if you need a wedding photographer anywhere between Paso Robles CA and Santa Maria, CA you might leave me a comment here and I'll pass it on.

Here is Heather dressed as a French photographer for Halloween.

Rainbow Scarf

Both of my daughters are really into rainbows right now. On her last visit Heather picked up some yarn to make a rainbow scarf and she already has it listed in her Etsy shop. I feel like a slacker. That was quick. I'm still working on a moss green scarf I started ages ago. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22159459

Heather Will Be Here

I'm very excited because Heather is coming here for a few days. She has two business meetings but then we'll have time to do art, go shopping, see a movie and have fun. I love it when my kids visit.

Heather visited me

Heather came down with hubby to celebrate my birthday and go craft shopping. She doesn't have a Joann's where she lives so we went to their sale and she got demos of the sewing machines and we both bought some yarn. She got these really cool bronze crochet hooks for Christmas.

The photo of us together was taken at Downtown Disney.

Weddings

Heather just finished photographing a wedding. She is getting good word of mouth referrals. The current customer is someone she knew in high school.

Halloween

With Halloween just days away, Heather needed a costume to wear to work. So while she was down here in S. CA with me she picked up a costume. Supergirl away!!!

Talent Runs in the Family

Today my daughter was asking me about blogs so I made this blog so she could see how to do it. Then I was just going to delete it but I thought it would be cool to help promote her art. She's got a BA in Art & Design from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo CA and is most currently doing wedding photography. So I look forward to sharing her projects here.
